Organic Red Green Moment Ready and waiting.  (:

Day 227, Year 3 (957)

Grids Loving the layers of "grids".  The ceiling, the air conditioning vent, the air return and the hair dryer.  Add the vintage clock for a bit of different texture and these layers are a bit interesting.  (:

I CAN do this! This little one wanted Mom and Dad to bring him food but they weren't doing any such thing.  He flapped his wings a few times and then finally made the leap to the ground below. For the almost 3 years I've been doing this blog blue jays have been impossible to capture.  Today I got several very great photos of them.   I love the one below with the entire family sitting on the fence.  Love how the baby is distracted by something behind him.

On the Fence At least I got one of them.  There had been at least a dozen of these little cuties lined up on the fence but by the time I got my camera there was only one left. This is Saturday, August 15th's photo.

Nap Time. This is a re-purposing project.  We had an college XL mattress pad that I covered with two remnant pieces of polar fleece.  The thickness was too great to machine sew all of it together so I did a blanket stitch all the way around to finish it.  The reverse side is a pretty, bright orange. Baby comes back full-time to Grammy's in a couple of weeks when school starts again.  We'll see if we can get some naps taken with this.  (: This is the photo for Wednesday, August 12th.

Shiny. Sun. Dial. The very latest in my yard art projects.  This beauty has been hanging on the fence for a really long time.  She had a rusted dark bronze finish.  A quick coat of paint and look how beautiful. I am once again all caught up.  Today I realized I miss going on adventures to take photos.  I just need to figure out my priorities.  There so many things I want to do or should be doing.  I just can't find the time to give quality time to them all.  ):  I'm working on it but...

Day 220, Year 3 (950)

Blurry Vision? My gardens now have many solar lights scattered about as well as being integrated into my yard art.  This is the trees reflected in the top of one of the lights.  I think its pretty cool.  ha! This is Monday, August 10th's photo.

Future Yard Art Projects Plenty of ideas are rolling around in my head for the above little area in my yard.  We'll see what happens.  Lots of prep will go into this project so it probably won't get done until next spring. The beauty below just needs some TLC and some fresh paint.  I was too lazy to dig for a wire brush otherwise it would be done already.  (:   These are Sunday, August 9th's photos.

Solar Light Yard Art I'm slightly obsessed with solar lights.   This is Saturday, August 8th's photo.

Just. Strange. This poor little guy has lived in our backyard for many years.  He seems to get more strange each spring. (: This is Friday, August 7th's photo.

Can we keep them? These two came for dessert in our back yard tonight.  We've seen them briefly in the past couple of weeks but tonight we had a much closer look.   They were busy gobbling up the berries on the ground under our mulberry tree.   The girls wanted to know if we could keep them.  They were super cute.  (:

From another planet? I love these flowers.  They are so alien looking. ha! This is Monday, August 3rd's photo.

Tie-Dye Fence Art This was my morning project.  It turned out so very lovely.  The sconces have solar lights attached to them.  Hoping they work tonight.   All the rest of the fence art got rearranged.  I'm thinking I should have a gala opening night for all of my fence art.  Brats, burgers and a cooler of Nordeast?  Hmmm... I'll have to get the last couple of projects finished up so we can do that.  (:

Day 212, Year 3 (942)

Seeing IS Believing... My Dad told us about the two Guinea fowl he saw in his yard the other day.  One gray and one white.  We saw one down the road but nothing close up. Finally this lovely showed up at the neighbors.  Here are the only two good shots I got.  Man, this thing moved fast.  (:   This is Saturday, August 1st's photos.

Day 211, Year 3 (941)

Just a little creepy... This little "darling" made such a ruckus because we were sitting on the patio.  We seriously thought he was going to attack us.  I went into the house and grabbed my camera and he was still up there screeching at us.  He did a great job of staying behind that branch.  No matter what I did the camera focused on the branch and not the squirrel giving this quite a creepy effect. The one below just cracked me up.  It was like he had gone away but decided to harass us one last time.  And he still managed to stay behind that damn branch.  ha! This is Friday, July 31st's photos.

Blue I love this shot.  I happened to be sitting in the exact right spot to see this bit of sunlight reflecting off the lake.  Too pretty for words. This is Wednesday, July 29th's photo.

This is what happens... when you don't keep up with your blog.  You can't remember if you've already taken and used a photo.  If I have I apologize but it's been that kind of summer. This is Tuesday, July 28th's photo.
