No words... can describe how this photo makes me feel. I'm not sure I will ever be a GREAT photographer but this photo said many things to me. There is the sadness captured in this abandoned farm. There is the beauty of the scene. And then there is the story of how this photo was taken. In a car moving 70 mph down the freeway that tells me this is a damn good photo. This day of photography made me realize just maybe I have a bit of talent at this photography thing. Just maybe... (By the way I have been taking photos every day. Just not very good ones. This helps me to share more of my road trip photos.)

Fall Impressionism I... Today on our drive back from Milwaukee I just kept shooting hoping for some fun, really unique photos. When you are moving down the freeway at 70 mph it's really hard to focus on anything so I decided to just shoot and see what happened. Actually, I hoped to get a few of these very unfocused pictures full of colorful leaves.

The view at 70 mph... or a hay field in Wisconsin. I love taking photos from a moving car. I love the blurred foreground as it whizzes by and love the perfectly focused farm in the background.

Damn squirrels... This afternoon I headed out to take some photos and while I am driving down the street I hear this screechy, clunky noise in the front end of my car. So, I drive back into my driveway and wait for the hubby to come home to listen and see if we can figure out what it is. Well, it turned out to be a walnut wedge up underneath the front end of my car!! So instead of some fun photos I once again took pictures in my back yard. Damn those squirrels!

Laugh out loud moment... Today was a crazy busy day and time to take any photos just hadn't happened. While in the shower I came up with this idea. Yes, a quiet moment to myself and I'm trying to come up with a photo idea. Whatever! The laugh out loud moment of this whole scenario was the behind the scenes hilarity. First, it was REALLY steamy in the bathroom which made my lens on my camera fog up (duh!) and I couldn't keep it clear for very long. Second, I couldn't wear my glasses for the same reason so this was shot half blind. And third, I was trying to turn the bulbs in the light so I had a little less BRIGHT light while wrapped in a towel. I'll just leave the third item at that. I'm pretty sure all of you have great imaginations. ha! Someone posted on Facebook to make sure to have a laugh out loud moment today. I'm so glad I have no problem laughing out loud - at myself.

Beer Tree... The best part of this photography project has been the places and things found. Today we happened across this tree along a lake. The tree had all kinds of beer cans and bottles on its branches. Some of them were VERY high up in the tree on very small branches. How the heck did they get up there? Also wondering if anyone ever got hurt attempting this?

Photo Bucket List... This has been on my photo bucket list from the beginning. There just never seemed to be an easy way to get this shot. I try to be safe when suddenly stopping to take a photo, parking my car where it can't get hit. (: And all of these towers are in fields. I didn't want to be walking through weeds or someone's corn. Earlier this week while walking on a trail we came across this tower straddling the path. How convenient.

Secluded retreat... This trail system is wedge between railroad tracks and a major highway in the middle of a city. But this bench seems to be in the most secluded place imaginable.
