Day 334 (699)

Image
You Light up my... Love this photo of the wall light in my Dad's basement stairwell.  Taken from directly under the light.  You can even see the spiral of the bulb.

Twinkly Red Green Moment

Day 332 (697)

Wishful thinking For the past couple of weeks I've wanted to take this photo.  Tonight I had the perfect opportunity.  I love all the lighting on this patio it makes it seem like you could enjoy a conversation here.  If only it wasn't snowy, cold and very windy.

Day 331 (696)

Image
Let the game begin. This family was across the lake attempting to shovel a place big enough to play a game of hockey.  This is what Thanksgiving is about. I miss the traditional Thanksgiving football game with my cousins.

Day 330 (695)

Image
pain Long busy day.  If I hadn't been so busy this morning this would have been a perfect day to walk in the pretty falling snow but...  So I snapped a couple of photos of this leaf weighted down by the snow not able to drift away in the wind.  I felt its pain.  (:

Day 329 (694)

Family - The black and white of it. I'm not sure what I want to say.  I'm not sure there are words that express how the events in our world have affected our family. We are all angered with the lack of justice shown in our country, once again. I guess I just want to see peace and justice in our country for all our people.  But mostly for our black men to be treated with respect.  To not be provoked.  To not be accused of things they aren't guilty of.  And to receive justice when they are wronged.   I want ALL of our young men to step up and be good fathers.  Teach their children about equality.  Teach them about tolerance.  Teach them about how hatred destroys.  Teach them how good our world can be. That it is fair and just. And to tell them they are the key. This is what I want from all fathers of all races in our country.  But until our country treats ALL of them as equals they will not treat each other as equals.   It can never be okay for justic

Day 328 (693)

Blessing. In reality having some delivery person total our garage door and opener was a blessing.

Day 327 (692)

Image
Sloppy View Another photo from last night's drive by shooting adventure.  Most of what I did was in black and white.  The fog and the glare of headlights look so much different when not in color. This is a shot out the windshield just after the wipers had been on.  We were behind a car at a red light.  The bright light at the bottom of the photo is the car's brake light in its back window. This is another photo that I really like.  Two in one adventure?  Wow!  (:

Day 326 (691)

Image
T. Rex  One of my favorite things to do is night time drive by shoots.  I leave my camera on normal daytime settings and shoot while riding in the car.   The T.Rex figures are actually the lights in a parking lot. The pickup truck in the middle of all of this just adds to the humor of this photo.   This has to be one of my more favorite photos in quite awhile.  Love it!

Day 325 (690)

Image
Reflective Blue For some reason we have this blue reflective stake in our front yard.  Today when I went to the mailbox the sun was shining through it and I decided to take a picture.  Really feeling my photos have been extremely lacking in creativity in this year's 365Project but I have a few days left in the year.  I just need the time.  But it is what it is for now.  (:

Day 324 (689)

Image
Winter Shadows Another brutally cold day here in Minnesota.  There was no way I was going out there to do anything.  So this photo was taken from the family room bay window.  Pretty sorry I know.  ha! And another day of baby photos that are blurred because the little stinker moves way too fast. (:

Day 323 (688)

Image
Just hangin' out... The subject of my photo shoot today was suppose to be Mara Joy but the second she saw the camera come out she crawled over to me and sat in my lap.  I have a handful of blurry photos of her because she just wouldn't stop and be still.   While sitting in my lap she got to "help" Grammy take these two photos.  She found it so very funny to see Pop and Olaf in the camera screen. She squealed in delight. (: And I am so amazed she kept her feet still long enough to get the photo below. Striped

Day 322 (687)

Image
Seasons This leaf caught my eye while sewing.  Hoping we would get a bit of sunshine I waited and waited but finally gave in and took a handful of photos.  This isn't what I wanted but I do love the leaf caught in the snow.  The pretty red berries just a splash of color.

Day 321 (686)

Image
Blue Eyes... Unfortunately this was not a planned selfie.  I was so busy shooting what was outside my car window that I didn't even notice all of the reflections in the window. The entire windshield is reflected in the side window.  I think the rear view mirror is in there as well.  This actually turned out pretty cool even with the blue eyed photo bomber in it.  (:

Day 320 (685)

Image
Bits of color It still can be pretty here once it snows?  Another photo from a couple of days ago.  Too dang cold to go out on an adventure today.  Besides I was busy finding exciting information about my great-great grandparents who immigrated from Norway in 1875.  Way too much fun!  ha!

Day 319 (684)

Image
Glitter This is rather lame but...

Day 318 (683)

Image
Late Afternoon... This location was not my first choice for an afternoon walk.  The county park we wanted walk in had closed gates today.  Not sure why they hadn't taken time to plow the roads but it forced us to find another place.   The sun was lower in the sky by the time we got to this park which made this path prettier than it really was.  The next time it is snowing I will be out in the middle of it taking photos.

Day 317 (682)

Image
A Fall Red Green Moment In a bit of a rut?  Maybe?  This is another photo from earlier in the month.  Another day with that adorable granddaughter of ours.  (: I just read an article about taking photos like a photojournalist.  It stated your photos need to tell a story.  And to be better you need to photograph something different - something out of your comfort zone.  I will have to think hard about what I should photograph for a few days or a week or maybe for longer.  Who knows, I may find something I like to do better?

Day 316 (681)

Image
Hide and Seek One more photo from one of last week's adventures.  We saw one doe in the open and then spotted this one watching from the bushes.  Neither one of them were really too spooked by us being just a few feet away from them.

Day 315 (680)

Image
In denial... My calendar and my mind say it is still fall so I am posting another photo from my last fall photo adventure.  I promise to go take this same shot while there is snow.  It will be amazing but I'm just not ready to go on any adventures just yet.  I am also using my granddaughter as an excuse to not go out into what is outside my door.  She was here ALL day today and will be here ALL day tomorrow as well.  (:  It's just way too cold and windy to take her out for a walk.

Day 314 (679)

Image
Just lovely... This was NOT taken today but this is pretty much what our neighborhood looks like.  Not thrilled but not really hating either.  I had a cuddly baby here today so all was good.

Day 313 (678)

Image
Oranges Both daughters walked with their Momma this afternoon.  I wanted one more walk and one last day of photos without snow. By morning our world will be brilliant white.  ):

Day 312 (677)

Image
Promises... Love the hope these "flowers" give for what WILL be after winter.  The promise of more flowers next spring.  There will be life after the snow.

Day 311 (676)

Image
Fine. Lines. Simple. Golden. Blurred. Blue.  Love this photo.  It rained today.  Hard.  So this is another one from yesterday.  I did take photos for my 52 week project though.

Day 310 (675)

Image
Speared The lighting in this photo is perfect.  Shadow on one side and light on the other.  I didn't realize the leaf was actually speared not part of the branch until I downloaded the photo.

Day 309 (674)

Image
Worm Crossing! A crossing for albino worms even! ha!  Remember I'm a city girl with a very warped sense of humor!  Rainy day here in Coon Rapids, MN.  Good day for getting some sewing done or snuggling with the grandbaby.  Photos were taken but nothing worth using so I'm using one from last week.  (:

Day 308 (673)

Image
Lighted Tins... This is the black and white version of this restaurant ceiling.  Love the details of the tin ceiling and the simplicity of the lights.

Day 307 (672)

Image
Near, Far and Somewhere in the Middle One of my favorite views of downtown Minneapolis.  In the foreground is Delaware Street on the U of M campus near my daughter's dorm.  The middle of the photo is the Washington Avenue Bridge which has an enclosed foot bridge between campuses, train tracks and street for car traffic.   And in the background watching over all is the prettiest city skyline.

Day 306 (671)

Image
Reflective Ride On our train ride from the University of Minnesota to the Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul I snapped three photos.  There wasn't a very good angle from my seat and with the extremely bright lights in the train I got mostly reflections of people and things inside the train.  I got a bit of the outside scenery in this shot.

Day 305 (670)

Image
Intimate. This was the stage for one of the most intimate concerts I have attended.   The Milk Carton Kids  in collaboration with  Sarah Jarosz  at the historic Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul. Six extremely talented musician together on this stage.   This was taken stage floor level prior to the concert. I have many favorite photos from last night which I will probably share on Facebook later today.
