Day 268 (633)

Sprinkled Details The sprinklers were on in the front yard as the sun was setting tonight.  What drew me out there was the flash of rainbow colors as the spray of water went through a narrow patch of sunlight.  But when I looked around there were so many things to capture. The detail that drew me to this particular scene was the red reflection on the cement.  My daughter's car is the reflection.  The dripping branch, the yellow leaves, the fine little cobweb and the spray from the sprinkler are the finer details of the photo.  Another photo that makes me smile.  And that is always good.

Oh so pretty.

Day 236 (601)

Can you smell the rain? In an attempt to show the details of what I photograph I shot only in black and white today.  Also comments have been made about the color green showing up a bit too much in my photos. (: This has not been taken as a derogatory comment but more as a challenge to see things differently. To find something new to photograph. I love the photo above because you can smell the rain and you can see the color green without it actually being there. I love the shadows and the layers of the leaves as well. The bottom photo's lighting adds a wonderful dimension to the leaves and the background.
