Tracks in the snow.

Day 30

Brighter Days Ahead? These sunglasses belong to my oldest daughter. They hang from hooks on the ceiling in her room. (:

Day 29

Image
Masquerade!   Paper faces on parade... Masquerade! Hide your face, so the world will never find you!

Day 28

Image
Frosted window.

Day 27

Image
Staying warm in the frozen tundra. Okay, this brutally cold weather is getting old.  The house just isn't staying warm tonight.

Day 26

Image
  Reflections. Shadows. Reality.

Day 25

Image
  Just a piece.

Day 24

Image
These have seen better days! My attraction to old barns led me to this deserted farm. This poor, little farm had to make way for all of the industrial buildings that were built across the road.

Day 23

Image
Pieces of Pompano or Self-Portrait? This was not a clever mistake on my part.  For a change I actually set out to take this photo and it turned out just as haunting as I wanted.  (:     The rocks were all collected on our favorite beach in Pompano Beach, FL.  AND I only took 37 shots of these rocks today.  These are the things that happen when it is too cold to go outside. ha!  Love it!

Day 22

Image
  Frozen Drip.

Day 21

Image
Two rooms reflected. I always love the reflections in this mirror as I am driving up my driveway so thought I'd try to capture it in a photo.  I got way more than I thought I would.  The reflection shows the mirror on the opposite wall which has an awesome reflection of my kitchen.  (:

Day 20

Image
  This never gets old.

Day 19

Image
  Chiming Reflection.

Day 18

Image
Simple. Beautiful. The colors, the light, the texture and the subject all simple and beautiful. (:

Day 17

Image
Heaven - to some! (: I'm sure I will get some grief on this one from some of my "fitness" friends.  To each his own. ha!

Day 16

Image
  Water View.

Day 15

Morning Shadows

Day 14

Image
  Angel Wing.

Day 13

Image
Peeking. This is probably one of my more favorite photos.

Day 12

Turkey Trot! How far would you go to get a great photo?  This is far from a great photo of this wild turkey but I tried very hard to get a better one.  I snapped this just before the turkey turned it's back and gobbled away.   In an attempt to get a better photo I "trotted" down the path, up a hill and around a corner.  I was hoping to spot it once again from a different angle but was also terrified it would be right in my face once I got around the corner.  Unfortunately, the path veered in a different direction and the turkey was no where to be seen.  But it was a gorgeous January day to be out in the "woods". A good time was had by this photographer today and I'm pretty sure the turkey had a good time outsmarting me as well.

Day 11

Image
A Red Green Moment. If you have been following my photo blog at all you know I have used this title in some form several times over the past year.  And every time I use it I get a good chuckle.   My poor husband just smiles because he knows the true meaning behind my chuckle. This makes this funnier yet!    I LOVE The Red Green Show .  It makes me laugh to point of tears.  I guess -- I love stupid humor. :) And I love duct tape even more. ha!  While finding the link to the show's website I found out The Red Green Show is on tour this spring and will be in St. Paul!!  I was so excited until the total for two tickets came to $112!  Oh well!!

Day 10

Image
Upstairs   The view from above.  A wonderful morning spent with my daughters at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Downstairs The view from below.

Day 9

Image
I Love Music! Any kind of Music! This is a very small sampling of my CD collection.  Anything from Dean Martin (Dino) to the Bee Gees to Marc Anthony (singing in Spanish) to movie soundtracks.   A day of new music is an awesome day! This is a hilarious version of my photo.  The only way you could really read the titles was turn the photo on its side.  It kind of looks like they are floating in air?  ha!

Day 8

Image
Yankee Doodle? I find this very, very funny.  (:

Day 7

Image
Frost-ing? The Christmas wreath on the front of our house hangs just above the vent for our gas fireplace. The moisture from the exhaust has caused the entire wreath to be covered in this beautiful frost.

Day 6

Image
Frosty Fun? We woke to -22 degrees with wind chill factor of -43! This is the view out our front door. No adventures outside to take photos today.

Day 5

Image
SKYY Lights? ha! Oh so very clever.  (:

Day 4

Image
Down the Rabbit Hole?   I have a cobalt blue birdbath in my backyard.  For the winter the top comes off and the base is laid on its side.  This is a shot of the inside of the base, up close and personal.  The white is actually snow.  There are rabbit footprints coming and going from this.  Do you think they are spending the winter in here?  The photo below is the full of of the area.  (:

Day 3

Image
Evening Mood? Just a sliver of a moon through the trees.  I've been in kind of "dark" mood tonight so this photo is appropriate.  But I AM in a much better mood now though. (:

Day 2

Image
Oxymoron? Is this a visual oxymoron?  Can there be such a thing as an oxymoron?  I guess this is my photo blog and I think this is an oxymoron.  (:   Lawn chairs and fire pit surrounded by snow.

Day 1

Image
Family... Day One is rather lame but it is so blasted cold.  I went out yesterday and I am going out tomorrow so I'm calling this a good photo shoot.  (: This charm bracelet was a gift from my children.  The tree is the Tree of Life which also represents my love of family historyresearch.  Each of the colored stone bands are my children's birth stones.
