Bits and pieces: A Red Green Moment Love, love my Red Green Moments. (: This is just the various seeds from our maple tree.  Our patio and furniture stay a disaster for several weeks. This was yesterday's photo and I swear I had posted it.  Busy day yesterday so who knows.  Getting old AND senile.  hmmm... This is Sunday, May 3rd's photo.

A Red Green M&M's Moment Finally the last of the Christmas candy.  I found this bag of M&M's in the pantry.  Of course I couldn't resist the Red Green moment of these candies. ha!  This photo made me laugh even before I got the camera out.

Once again -- lost in time. Another evening into night researching my family history.  Which means no REAL photos.  Today I was contacted by someone who's great grandfather is my great grandfather's brother.  This always gets me started trying to find a missing piece.   Just a few minutes ago I found this passenger list for a ship that departed in Germany and arrived in New Orleans in February 1838. This one may be a stretch but I have seen this family name spelled so many different ways.  It is Aulwes but on the is record it kind of looks like Olvers.  But the first names and ages are exactly correct as is the arrival date and place of departure.  It is the very top record on the screen. Of course I am using this as fact until I prove myself wrong.  I've searched for an Olvers family with those first names and have NOT found anyone to match.  My next step will be to find the German departure record for this ship.  That ...

Creatures in our yard. This little guy lives under my rock collection on the ledge on the front of our house.  I tried hard to get an actual closeup but ended up having to crop this to create a closeup.  Anytime I got close he would back up under the rocks. The gentleman below allowed me to come within about 2 inches of him and just pose for me.  I love the detail of everything about him.   I love to do photos like these.  (:

Untitled Since I can't think of a really clever title for this photo I'll leave it untitled.   An Amazon.com package arrived today with this wonderful bubble wrap in it.  The first thing I thought was "photo op".  (:  This isn't very clever or creative but it is what it is.  ha!

Day 99

a collection   Today's photo challenge.   Garbage collection.     I think it works much better than the obvious (once again).  The rock collection on the ledge in front of the house, the depression glass collection, the tea cup collection or the tea pot collection.   Creative interpretation.  ha!

Day 94

Bent   This is today's photo challenge.     In my excitement to get to my genealogy conference I didn't see this mail tub in the driveway behind my car.  I thought I was driving on crunchy snow until my dear hubby who was driving down the street informed me I had put a dent in this tub that was now in the middle of the street.  ha!
