Blue. Berries.

These aren't really berries but it made a nice title to my photo.  (:

Night out

Image
Last night I had a great date night with 3 of my children.  First we went to  Pizza Luce  in St. Paul.  This is always a great choice for a quick, awesome pizza.  In the above photo we are the table just to the right of the door. (: Then we were off to  The Fitzgerald Theater  to see  The Goodbye Girls  open for the amazing  Milk Carton Kids .  Another amazing performance by these two wonderful artists. **Also I will no longer be doing daily posts.  Its just not what I want to do anymore.  I will post photos when I have something I feel is worth sharing.  And I'm not saying I don't have anything worth sharing, I just have so many other things I want/need to do first.

Day 298, Year 3 (1028)

Image
May this little girl child... never doubt how much she is loved. We got to have lunch with this dolly today (and her mama and daddy).  She is here most days during the week but its always a treat to have her here on a weekend day.   I decided she needed to have her very own sized apron so whipped this up this morning for her.  Now we need to find something to cook.   She decided she should wear Grammy's shoes over her own shoes.  And she was too busy messing with Grammy's FitBit to look up and say "cheese".   Love this little girl child to pieces.

Day 297, Year 3 (1027)

Brass Bits Another piece of our bedroom project completed.  One more construction-like project left and then the decorating touches.   And my title made me laugh hysterically.  Not sure why but it did.  (:

Dressed for Success! Words to live by.  Our outward appearance greatly affects how others perceive us.  It also affects how we feel.  Since I work out of my home and very rarely meet with clients I can find myself wearing the same shirt for an entire week.  I may even go to the store wearing this same shirt with who knows what on it.  Ugh! My goals since vacation revolve around being successful.  I've dressed better this week than I have in the past few months.  But yesterday I spent so much time sitting at my sewing machine and the jammies were much more comfortable.  I was too lazy to change into a top that would match.  Don't you love the stripes with the geometric design?   It was a very successful day so apparently I was dressed for success!  ha! This is October 23rd's photo.

Day 295, Year 3 (1025)

Image
Alien Visitor This creature was on our window this evening.  I couldn't focus on the grasshopper so had my daughter hold a paper on the inside of the window.  I really like the professional touch of the pink paperclip.  ha!   However, the sunset reflection is pretty cool. The photo below is just a bit different angle.  You know, just in case you weren't totally freaked out about the first one. (:

Day 294, Year 3 (1024)

Image
My Little Buttercup Doesn't that title just make you think of Martin Short in The Three Amigos?  ha!   I don't even think this is a buttercup but that's what came to mind for a title.   This is October 21st photo.

Day 293, Year 3 (1023)

Morning Surf We had a beautiful sunrise, the wind was up and so was the surf.  It was a breathtaking morning on the beach. This is October 20th's photo.

Day 292, Year 3 (1022)

Image
Dragon Wings For some reason when the kites are on the ground they remind me of dragon wings.  This is October 19th's photo.

Day 291, Year 3 (1021)

Image
Red, White and Blue Love this little sailboat. I'm extending my vacation days here on my blog to include a few extra favorites. (: This is October 18th's photo.

Day 290, Year 3 (1020)

Image
Silver Sunrise This was one of our last days on the beach.  Each sunrise gave us something new.  The sunrise was spectacular but the surf just completes the moment. Earlier in the week I started to play around with the manual settings on my camera and found a whole new world out there.  I'm not sure I will remember what I did but I'll keep working on it. This is October 17th's photo.

Day 289, Year 3 (1019)

From Above... These photos are the view from our 5th floor balcony.  There is nothing better than this. This is October 16th's photo.

Day 288, Year 3 (1018)

Bits and Pieces This is my favorite thing on the beach.  Oh and flat rocks.  I bring those home by the bag full.  ha! This is October 15th's photo.

Day 287, Year 3 (1017)

Happy Place Do I need to say more?  This is the only way to vacation.  (: This is October 14th's photo.

Day 286, Year 3 (1016)

Image
Footprints One evening I was standing on our balcony looking at all of the footprints in the sand.  I realized that our footprints were there as well.  I wondered how many days it would be before ours were gone and replaced by someone else.  Then I was sad.  (: This is October 13th's photo.

Day 285, Year 3 (1015)

Image
Perfect Two of the things I love about Pompano Beach.  I have had a hard time being back from vacation this year.  This place recharges and centers me.  The lighthouse is so beautiful and add the kiting all is perfect. This is October 12th's photo.

Day 284, Year 3 (1014)

Image
Before Sunrise This is one of my favorite photos of the week.  This was taken just before sunrise while the lighthouse was still lit.  I can smell the morning in this photo. This is October 11th's photo.

Day 283, Year 3 (1013)

Image
My Pot of Gold This is the best place to vacation.  It rained the first afternoon we were there but this rainbow was the aftermath.   Three beach weddings were delayed because of the rain this afternoon but all turned out beautiful. This is October 10th's photo.

Between Today is day 1000 of my 365 Project!  I haven't posted photos every day this year because life has been busy and other things are more important.   My plan was to take a spectacular photo of the lunar eclipse.  What a grand idea.  While taking said photos dozens of lunar eclipse photos appeared on Facebook.  Such a clever idea I had.  Not.  (: I took some good photos but not what I wanted for this day's photo. The above photo was taken in my beloved state of Wisconsin.  Another photo that shows the peace and tranquility I find when I visit. Here's to a 1000 more days of photos. Peace.

Day 269, Year 3 (999)

Image
Drive by reflections As most of you know, shooting photos while riding in the car is one of my favorite things to do.  I caught this pond out of the corner of my eye.  I had to hold the camera over my shoulder and get this through the back passenger window.  Needless to say I was pretty surprised to see this is what I got.  Such a tranquil place.

Day 268, Year 3 (998)

Image
Where will this lead? Love hiking surrounded by this beauty. This is September 25th's photo.

Day 267, Year 3 (997)

Image
The Clearing This was such a beautiful spot.  At least from a distance.  Once you got into the clearing it wasn't quite so pretty.  But I have this shot of its beauty. When I travel to Wisconsin and have the opportunity to spend even a small amount of time surround by its beauty I am so at peace.  So centered.  So refreshed.   If I lived there would it be the same? This is September 24th's photo.

Day 266, Year 3 (996)

Bridged Love the decorative grass around this little golf cart bridge.  It was a beautiful September day. This is September 23rd's photo.

Movie Location Doesn't this look like a perfect setting for one of those old black and white westerns? ha! This is Saturday, September 5th's photo.

Day 246, Year 3 (976)

At an angle... What I love about this photo is my Dad's reflection in the upper right hand corner.  I shot this one in black and white as well but didn't capture the reflection. This is Friday, September 4th's photo.

Day 245, Year 3 (975)

Image
Framed While travelling to South Dakota last week I shot most of my photos in black and white.  It was a good challenge which I actually enjoyed.  And sitting in the back seat made it even more challenging. This is Thursday, September 3rd's photo.

Day 244, Year 3 (974)

Image
Suspended 16 days since I last posted a photo?  Today was the first day in a really, really long time I've actually looked for something to photograph.  I'm so very glad I took the time to grab my camera. Look for more photos in the coming days.  Somewhere along the way I lost my mojo but I think I have it back.  I do have photos from all the missing days.  I may or may not go back and add them to the blog.  We'll see. The next few days will be photos of my visit to South Dakota.  I won't be able to post until later this weekend.

Day 228, Year 3 (958)

Organic Red Green Moment Ready and waiting.  (:

Day 227, Year 3 (957)

Image
Grids Loving the layers of "grids".  The ceiling, the air conditioning vent, the air return and the hair dryer.  Add the vintage clock for a bit of different texture and these layers are a bit interesting.  (:

Day 226, Year 3 (956)

Image
I CAN do this! This little one wanted Mom and Dad to bring him food but they weren't doing any such thing.  He flapped his wings a few times and then finally made the leap to the ground below. For the almost 3 years I've been doing this blog blue jays have been impossible to capture.  Today I got several very great photos of them.   I love the one below with the entire family sitting on the fence.  Love how the baby is distracted by something behind him.

Day 225, Year 3 (955)

Image
On the Fence At least I got one of them.  There had been at least a dozen of these little cuties lined up on the fence but by the time I got my camera there was only one left. This is Saturday, August 15th's photo.

Day 224, Year 3 (954)

Nap Time. This is a re-purposing project.  We had an college XL mattress pad that I covered with two remnant pieces of polar fleece.  The thickness was too great to machine sew all of it together so I did a blanket stitch all the way around to finish it.  The reverse side is a pretty, bright orange. Baby comes back full-time to Grammy's in a couple of weeks when school starts again.  We'll see if we can get some naps taken with this.  (: This is the photo for Wednesday, August 12th.

Day 221, Year 3 (951)

Image
Shiny. Sun. Dial. The very latest in my yard art projects.  This beauty has been hanging on the fence for a really long time.  She had a rusted dark bronze finish.  A quick coat of paint and look how beautiful. I am once again all caught up.  Today I realized I miss going on adventures to take photos.  I just need to figure out my priorities.  There so many things I want to do or should be doing.  I just can't find the time to give quality time to them all.  ):  I'm working on it but...

Day 220, Year 3 (950)

Blurry Vision? My gardens now have many solar lights scattered about as well as being integrated into my yard art.  This is the trees reflected in the top of one of the lights.  I think its pretty cool.  ha! This is Monday, August 10th's photo.
