An Awesome View of Life

Tyyne-Patalappu Last fall I crocheted dishcloths that I really love.  Now I decided I need some new and better potholders.  I started searching for a pattern and fell in love with this  pattern.   However, it was poorly translated from Finnish to English and I just couldn't figure out how to add the second color. There are many websites with this crochet pattern but no other one in English.  I found versions in Swedish, German, Norwegian and many in Finnish. Finally I found a YouTube video in Norwegian.  (I think) that showed how to do the second color which I watched over and over until I figured it out.  Of course I can't find that video again to share here. Now that I know how to make them they are so simple and pretty quick to make.  Also quite cute. A second one is in the works with enough yarn to make at least a third one.  Snow is coming tonight.  Not much but a great excuse to crochet.  Right?  ha! ...

Tequila Sunrise! Aren't all of the colors in this photo the same as a Tequila Sunrise?  Love the sunshine in this photo. (:

In denial... My calendar and my mind say it is still fall so I am posting another photo from my last fall photo adventure.  I promise to go take this same shot while there is snow.  It will be amazing but I'm just not ready to go on any adventures just yet.  I am also using my granddaughter as an excuse to not go out into what is outside my door.  She was here ALL day today and will be here ALL day tomorrow as well.  (:  It's just way too cold and windy to take her out for a walk. 

Layered. Layers of a similar shape.  All ovals of sorts.  All different colors.  The silver chain on the black wrought iron chair with the "helicopters" for a background. We have a huge maple tree that shades our patio so currently our patio is covered in "helicopters".

Everything. Even though I got eaten alive once again by the mosquitoes (I'm just so sweet and wonderful) I LOVE everything about this photo. All the textures -- the rough sidewalk, the soft moss, the crunchy leaves and the pebbled step.  All the colors are perfect. And the light and shadows add depth.  The focus point is exactly where I wanted it which adds to the love of this photo.  (:   Now maybe I can get that dang suit designed??  

"Fly"ing together... The fly wasn't noticed until I uploaded photos.  Just a bit funny to me.  I like the colors in the background and love the "lost" wing tip on the hummingbird.  Fun to get to the lake today for Father's Day.
