Morning visitors... Every spring we have two doves who nest somewhere in our yard. One year they built nest on top of the vent for our gas fireplace. I would have to assume they had hardboiled eggs?? Most years they build their nest at the very end of our rain gutters. We really hope these are just decoy nests but not really sure.
Outside looking in... This was taken by putting the camera lens on the bay window of my family room. There are reflections of the backyard and a bit of me. This is where I live and work.
The last one... I wil not post another snow photo. I was very busy today and took this early this morning. It was gorgeous out there but enough is enough.
Wisconsin silo... This was taken while I was in Wisconsin last week. I love the lighting in this photo. The stone foundation for the barn is awesome. There seems to be another foundation as well. The silo was the only structure still standing on this farm.
Poor little guy... This little guy sat at the top of this bush for a really long time this morning. It was snowing hard and the wind was whipping snow at him. Finally, he hopped down into the middle of the bush.
Evening visitor... Mrs. Cardinal visited the birdfeeder alone tonight. Normally both of them are in our yard just before sunset. However Mr. Cardinal was in a nearby tree. We are pretty sure this is the same couple who have visited our birdfeeders every evening for the past two or three years.
Mission Accomplished... This grove of trees has been on my list of things to photograph since beginning this photo journal. These trees line the driveway of the resort I am at in Wisconsin. The photo I had envisioned would be taken late in the day with the light filtering through the trees - some light, some shadow. The day started with freezing rain which turned to a hard steady rain. When the sun finally came out I grabbed my camera and got exactly the photo I had in mind.
Room with a view... This is the view off of my balcony in Wisconsin Dells. This is a hill that goes almost straight up. Its pretty now with the bits of snow. I can only imagine what it would look like once it is green again or red, orange and yellow in the fall.
Reflections... Can you find my waving daughter, my hubby's arm and shoulder, the red light, the ceiling light, kitchen cabinets, sink faucet, downspout, house roof, camera and a bit of the photographer?
What could this be... This is a 5 foot long cardboard tube my fabric comes on. Its ripped about half way down which makes this a little more interesting. I couldn't resist seeing what kind of photo I could get. ha!
Make the most of life... This photo represents life and the fears we need to overcome to make it the best life possible. We need to learn to take a chance or two in life. It's what I plan to do. For the past few weeks I have been worried sick about a dear friend. I left voicemails, sent text messages and posted on her Facebook wall without any response. This morning she called me. She was diagnosised with MS about 6 years ago. She also suffers from seizures which cause her to lapse into a coma. She suffered a seizure a few weeks ago that has caused her some unbelievable physical limitations. Speaking was extremely hard for her but she called me because she was worried about me. She is the most amazing woman I have ever known. Her strength through all of this is beyond words. She told me the worst part of where she is right now is the episode was so unexpected. She was doing so good one day and the next...
Being artistic... This is me being artistic. This was taken through the patio table at the lake. No matter what anyone else thinks this is pretty clever. ha!
