Day 115, Year 3 (845)


Serenading.

This was actually taken yesterday (Saturday).  I was hoping sitting in the sun for a little while would make me feel better.  For some reason I grabbed my camera when I went out.  This pretty guy was sitting high up in our maple tree singing the most beautiful song.  I tried to get pictures of him but he was too high up. 

Then he swooped and landed just across the yard from me.  Not a perfect shot but at least it was taken on the day it was to be used in my blog.

Hippie Potions and Lotions

Fun day today.  The past several days have been spent getting things done before we leave for Florida.  My business is the most organized it has ever been.  This morning I cleared my custom order board and mailed out all pending orders.  Late this morning I headed for the kitchen and created some wo nderful lotions. The pretty peppermint jars contain "Peppermint Perfection", a luscious hand balm that has a heavenly peppermint scent. The "Green Stuff" is a boo-boo salve.  It works great on cuts, burns, very dry skin and it stops bug bites from itching. And the pretty lotion in the middle is "Mara's Magical Moisturizer" which I created for my granddaughter to help relieve some of her dry skin caused by eczema.  This is a new and improved version.  I am hoping this will work even better than the last batch. The other day...

Last week Miss Mara had a sleepover at Mimi's house.  She wanted to make the biggest EVER pile of leaves.  This is the end result.  And I do believe someone is hiding in that VERY large pile of leaves. Love this little girl child with all that I am.
