Invasive weed or something more interesting...
My neighbor lady nags at me every spring to get rid of the milkweed in my front flower beds. She says they are invasive weeds, ugly and just plain messy. I disagree.
These flowers attract butterflies and bees. And when in full bloom smell so very wonderful. Watch them closely in late summer and you will see caterpillars eating away the leaves. And then in the fall they have those wonderful pods of silk. I do agree they are a little messy at that point but I still find them fascinating.
