Obsession...
 
I was already in bed when I realized I had spent most of my evening reading and had forgotten to take any pictures.  Since reading had been the reason I had forgotten, I pulled together some of my more favorite books for a photo shoot.
 
Mostly, I love sci-fi fantasy books -- Kings, dragons, wizards and quests.  The author, David Eddings pretty much covers that for me.  Who doesn't love Lord of the Rings and A Game of Thrones series? 
 
But my favorite books are anything about Merlin - the Mary Stewart series and King Arthur - the Jack Whyte series.  Throw in a few mysteries and life is good. But don't expect me to pay attention to ANYTHING that is going on around me.  Once I start a book that is the world I am living in.

Hippie Potions and Lotions

Fun day today.  The past several days have been spent getting things done before we leave for Florida.  My business is the most organized it has ever been.  This morning I cleared my custom order board and mailed out all pending orders.  Late this morning I headed for the kitchen and created some wo nderful lotions. The pretty peppermint jars contain "Peppermint Perfection", a luscious hand balm that has a heavenly peppermint scent. The "Green Stuff" is a boo-boo salve.  It works great on cuts, burns, very dry skin and it stops bug bites from itching. And the pretty lotion in the middle is "Mara's Magical Moisturizer" which I created for my granddaughter to help relieve some of her dry skin caused by eczema.  This is a new and improved version.  I am hoping this will work even better than the last batch. Not in this photo is the body wash I made.  Super rich and its wonderful smell is peppermint and sweet orange. The fun

The Witch's Hat... Stumbled across this quite by mistake today.  It took a little bit of four wheel driving to get up to the top of the hill due to MORE fresh snow overnight.  After a slippery walk up a bunch of steps and a snowy hill there was the most fabulous view of the beautiful city of Minneapolis.  This landmark is known as the "Witch's Hat".  This water tower was built in 1913 and sits in Prospect Park which is the highest natural spot in the city. With the lamp post in the foreground doesn't this remind you of Narnia -- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?

Angle Today's photo challenge. Some days the "chase" is more fun than the actual photos.  Tonight's chase for a photo op ended without photos of what we had set out to do but a good time was had anyway. I had to settle for photos while sitting at red lights on the way home.   The photo below is the best photo I've taken at an angle.  Love this photo for many reasons.  (:  Thank you Dave of  S.f.
