Treasure or Junk?

This morning was spent with my sister and my daughters at the Mantorville Marigold Days Flea Market.  Tammy Jo and I used to do this every year, coming home with some awesome treasures.  I do believe all of my yard art is from this flea market.

Some of the stuff is definitely junk but what an inspirational place.  I love coming back with new creative ideas.  Now I just need to get my act together and get busy with some of these ideas.  

The best part is each of us came back with some fun treasures.  

Hmmm... I see that blue snow sled and wonder how it didn't come home with me?  ha!

    That's a fun photo! Full of lines and shadows and color, and packed with interesting clutter that makes me want to be there and pick up and study each and every object.

Hippie Potions and Lotions

Fun day today.  The past several days have been spent getting things done before we leave for Florida.  My business is the most organized it has ever been.  This morning I cleared my custom order board and mailed out all pending orders.  Late this morning I headed for the kitchen and created some wo nderful lotions. The pretty peppermint jars contain "Peppermint Perfection", a luscious hand balm that has a heavenly peppermint scent. The "Green Stuff" is a boo-boo salve.  It works great on cuts, burns, very dry skin and it stops bug bites from itching. And the pretty lotion in the middle is "Mara's Magical Moisturizer" which I created for my granddaughter to help relieve some of her dry skin caused by eczema.  This is a new and improved version.  I am hoping this will work even better than the last batch. Not in this photo is the body wash I made.  Super rich and its wonderful smell is peppermint and sweet orange. The fun

  Laugh out loud moment...   Today was a crazy busy day and time to take any photos just hadn't happened.  While in the shower I came up with this idea.  Yes, a quiet moment to myself and I'm trying to come up with a photo idea.  Whatever!   The laugh out loud moment of this whole scenario was the behind the scenes hilarity.  First, it was REALLY steamy in the bathroom which made my lens on my camera fog up (duh!) and I couldn't keep it clear for very long.  Second, I couldn't wear my glasses for the same reason so this was shot half blind.  And third, I was trying to turn the bulbs in the light so I had a little less BRIGHT light while wrapped in a towel.  I'll just leave the third item at that.  I'm pretty sure all of you have great imaginations.  ha!   Someone posted on Facebook to make sure to have a laugh out loud moment today. I'm so glad I have no problem laughing out loud - at myself.

Angle Today's photo challenge. Some days the "chase" is more fun than the actual photos.  Tonight's chase for a photo op ended without photos of what we had set out to do but a good time was had anyway. I had to settle for photos while sitting at red lights on the way home.   The photo below is the best photo I've taken at an angle.  Love this photo for many reasons.  (:  Thank you Dave of  S.f.
