Crazy, busy...

Busy, busy day of sewing.  I'm trying to be ready to go out of town for a few days so need to keep my nose to the grindstone.  So you poor people who follow my blog are stuck once again with a photo of the flowers in my yard.

The best part of doing totally mundane sewing is it gives me time to think.  I have a thought about a fun photo project which I may have time to work on once my class reunion is over.  I'm posting a request for some help with this idea but I think I got most of it figured out on my own.

Hippie Potions and Lotions

Fun day today.  The past several days have been spent getting things done before we leave for Florida.  My business is the most organized it has ever been.  This morning I cleared my custom order board and mailed out all pending orders.  Late this morning I headed for the kitchen and created some wo nderful lotions. The pretty peppermint jars contain "Peppermint Perfection", a luscious hand balm that has a heavenly peppermint scent. The "Green Stuff" is a boo-boo salve.  It works great on cuts, burns, very dry skin and it stops bug bites from itching. And the pretty lotion in the middle is "Mara's Magical Moisturizer" which I created for my granddaughter to help relieve some of her dry skin caused by eczema.  This is a new and improved version.  I am hoping this will work even better than the last batch. The other day...

Last week Miss Mara had a sleepover at Mimi's house.  She wanted to make the biggest EVER pile of leaves.  This is the end result.  And I do believe someone is hiding in that VERY large pile of leaves. Love this little girl child with all that I am.
