A Dell's Red Green Moment

Yesterday we had a couple hours of NO rain.  There is a wilderness area that I have wanted to walk into for quite some time.  We braved the mud and boggy ground to get some fabulous shots.  

There still wasn't any sunshine but the sky was brighter than it had been for the past couple of days.  As we all know I LOVE my Red Green moments and this one may be one of my favorite moments.

I like how the brightness of the sky created a look of sunshine on parts of this photo.  And I love the color the leaves create in the background.

Hippie Potions and Lotions

Fun day today.  The past several days have been spent getting things done before we leave for Florida.  My business is the most organized it has ever been.  This morning I cleared my custom order board and mailed out all pending orders.  Late this morning I headed for the kitchen and created some wo nderful lotions. The pretty peppermint jars contain "Peppermint Perfection", a luscious hand balm that has a heavenly peppermint scent. The "Green Stuff" is a boo-boo salve.  It works great on cuts, burns, very dry skin and it stops bug bites from itching. And the pretty lotion in the middle is "Mara's Magical Moisturizer" which I created for my granddaughter to help relieve some of her dry skin caused by eczema.  This is a new and improved version.  I am hoping this will work even better than the last batch. The other day...

Last week Miss Mara had a sleepover at Mimi's house.  She wanted to make the biggest EVER pile of leaves.  This is the end result.  And I do believe someone is hiding in that VERY large pile of leaves. Love this little girl child with all that I am.
